Libertarian-compatible charities (USA)
These are charities that do not receive large amounts of government funding but still achieve their desired cause.
- The Institute for Justice (wikipedia) website: The nation's only libertarian public interest law firm.
- http://www.probono.net/: A network of pro-bono defense lawyers (reputation and structure unclear)
- AmeriCares (no wikipedia) website: provides medical supplies for immediate emergencies, as well as for longer-term humanitarian programs. See here for a statement on their donations sources- only 0.3% was from Big Brother during 2003.
