Unitarian Universalist Service Committee

The Unitarian Universalist Association tends to be leftist, with a strong left libertarian tendency. The UUSC is its charitable arm. One interesting note about the UUSC is that it has withdrawn from the "Combined Federal Campaign" in protest to the requirement that beneficiaries of this campaign do not work with people or organizations that the Federal government has declared to be "terrorists" [1].

Their legislative agenda [2] tends towards leftism; it has a strong defense of basic freedoms (e.g. freedom from torture), but calls on the government to protect rights overseas and also advocates for positive rights (e.g. "right to water")
