Talk:Market anarchy glossary

I hate it when people go out of their way to redefine words in a way that just confuses everyone. For example, here, the word "trade" is defined to include "sharing".

THAT'S NOT WHAT "TRADE" MEANS!!!! Ask any normal person! Look it up in any non-libertarian dictionary[1]!

"Trade", means an exchange of one item for another. It does not include a donation from one person to another without expectation of renumeration. Likewise, "markets" refer to the enterprize of buying and selling comoddities or securities. It does not include "sharing"...it does not include all voluntary interactions.

If you want to say "transfer of goods and services" or "provision of goods and services" then just say so. Don't make our language stupid by destroying the distinction between providing a good in expectation of getting something in return, and providing a good without that expectation.

Um.. Adam? I don't mean to be pedantic but... read the title of the page again. It's not a "Non-Libertarian Glossary". It's a "Market Anarchist Glossary". If you want to argue against my definition from an MA perspective then I'd welcome that. Francois Tremblay 18:01, 10 July 2006 (PDT)
(and just to clarify what I mean, I don't mean you have to be a Market Anarchist to argue against what I'm saying- just that you should argue from the Market Anarchist perspective)
