GetReal's last edit

IMO very borderline. We had a revert war with some uber-Bush-apologist who couldn't understand why consensus on a conservative site wouldn't let him turn it into the Shrine of Bush. Full disclosure: I need to go back and reread the whole article and the history -- my glance at this change indicates that it could certainly stand to be made more Bush-skeptical. Just that the facts presented now seem extremely one-sided. (And I loathe Bush, so I grant that reality-oriented media such as consensus-based wikis don't exactly present him in his best light.) Anyway, just wanted to scribble down this opinion while I'm thinking of it. - EqualOpportunityCynic 15:50, 12 February 2006 (PST)

POV tag

While we're at it, i decided it's easiest to just mark this as disputed until we get it cleaned up. I need to hunt down the LW NPOV policy. As I understand it, it's OK to be staunchly libertarian, but not OK to take a point of view that's not inherently libertarian. Clearly the "Presidency" section was written as sing the praises of GWB, therefore requires much editing for POV. I'm eager to hear other's opinions on the issue and whether I'm acting out of turn. (PS: My edit, the section about the Libertarian POV, is also far from neutral, just intended to offset the glowing praise a bit. In reality my critique and others should be merged in with some of the positive points.) thanks, EqualOpportunityCynic 15:41, 14 February 2006 (PST)

Thank you for creating the POV template. We really haven't discussed POV policy before. Paul Studier 20:13, 14 February 2006 (PST)

NPOV

Does anyone besides Paul and me actually want to see NPOV enforced here? I mean, I loathe the President, but I care more about the integrity of the wiki than about being one more page to slam him. Admittedly my last revert just replaced some POV (in one direction, the one I happen to agree with) content with POV (in the other) content. Maybe we should wipe this page clean until someone wants to start over? - EqualOpportunityCynic 12:55, 10 March 2006 (PST)
