Libertarian Party Logo

From Libertarian Wiki

Some states began requiring that parties have a logo to display on ballots. Some of the state parties had come up with their own logos to meet this requirement. Because the national party wanted a consistent logo they decided to come up with one. They mostly discussed using either the Liberty Bell or the Statue of Liberty, with the Statue winning out. Party founder David Nolan was working at an ad agency (about 1975 or so) and asked for a "modern looking stylized logo" and paid $100 for a designer to do it.
