Gadsden Flag
From Libertarian Wiki
(Redirected from Gasden Flag)
The Gadsden flag is a yellow-colored flag with a depiction of a rattlesnake coiled and ready to strike with the phrase "DONT TREAD ON ME" positioned below the rattlesnake. Christopher Gadsden designed the flag.
The snake on the flag is a symbol of the 13 colonies' defiance of the British Empire and King George III. The rattler gives fair warning to all who would threaten it.
The Gadsden flag has become an important symbol to many libertarians and minarchists. A Gadsden flag was presented to the town manager of Killington, Vermont, by a representative of the Free State Project after that town's 2004 vote to secede from Vermont.
