Free culture movement
From Libertarian Wiki
The free culture movement seeks to make cultural good freely available to the public. They often criticize copyright, and have derived a licensing system that they call the creative commons. They are alligned with and inspired by the free software movement (the originators of copyleft). They may be considered a left libertarian movement.
To counter "free culture" tendencies, major copyright owners have sought and receieved legal restrictions on devices that can copy goods such as recorded music and movies. These acts have been opposed by all sorts of libertarians and placed the general libertarian movement on the same side as the free culture movement, in these particular battles.
