FSP member Joel Winters won election to the New Hampshire state house as a Democrat. [2]

[edit] Republican Liberty Caucus

DJ Bettencourt was reelected to the NH House of Representatives, along with 6 other libertarian Republicans endorsed by the Republican Liberty Caucus. New Hampshire has the largest number of libertarian Republicans serving in a State Legislature in the United States. Most are affiliated with the "New Hampshire Alliance" a coalition of conservatives and libertarians which is Chaired by Bettencourt.

The RLC officially backed over 120 candidates for public office at all levels in 2006. The organization had one of its best years in its 15-year history. Chairman Bill Westmiller reported that over 80% of all RLC-backed candidates won election. This is in sharp contrast to other libertarian and so-called libertarian political groups.
