Draft

The term draft is used in one of two ways:

To call upon a person to take a particular action, such as to run for public office. For example there may be a "Draft John Doe for President" petition.
The draft also refers to Selective Service, where the government compels a person by force of law into a period of government service, usually in the military. This kind of draft opposed by libertarians as a form of involuntary servitude or slavery.
